Terms of Use

These conditions apply when you use Oklahoma Residents Directory. By continuing to the site, you agree to follow them; if you do not agree, stop using it.

1. The Oklahoma Residents Directory

Oklahoma Residents Directory is a private reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directories concerning current and past Oklahoma residents. It points to the offices and collections that hold records, but does not host those government records and is not affiliated with an agency, court, or custodian.

2. Acceptable Site Use

You may use this site only in lawful ways. You must not use it or information found through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reports or FCRA Use

Oklahoma Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq.). Neither this site's material nor results from a linked search service are consumer reports, and they cannot be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. Linked Government and Outside Services

Every government portal or outside service, including a sponsored search provider, sets its own conditions and privacy practices. We do not control or take responsibility for an external site's content, operation, prices, or handling of submitted information.

5. Service Without Warranties

The reference is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties. We make no promise that information is accurate, complete, or up to date or that an outside portal will remain available or produce a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

As far as applicable law permits, the site operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages tied to your use of this reference or an external resource, including an action taken based on a record found through one of them.

7. Responsibility for Claims

You agree to protect the site operators from claims, demands, and reasonable attorney fees arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Site Material

Copyright protects this site's original writing, design, logo, and layout. You may link to a page or quote a short passage with credit, but may not republish complete pages or copy the content systematically.

9. Revisions

We can revise these terms by placing an updated version on this page. Use of the site after that posting means you accept the revision.

10. Restricting Access

If a person breaks these rules or abuses the site, we may block or limit that person's access at our discretion, with or without notice.

11. Oklahoma Law and Public Records

Oklahoma law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Requests to a government body for existing records are governed by the Oklahoma Open Records Act, 51 O.S. §§24A.1–24A.31, and must be directed to the public body that keeps the record; this website is not that custodian. Other limits include the Address Confidentiality Program under 22 O.S. §60.14, protected voter addresses under 26 O.S. §4-115.2, voter-list access rules under 26 O.S. §7-103.2, and the federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, 18 U.S.C. §§2721–2725, for motor-vehicle record information. Oklahoma SB 546, to be codified at 75A O.S. §§300–320, has been enacted with an effective date of January 1, 2027; its data-processing duties and consumer rights apply only to covered controllers or processors that meet the law's scope requirements. Nothing in these terms waives rights that apply under that act after its effective date.

12. If Part of These Terms Cannot Apply

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
