Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results; this site does not save a copy of the query on its own server. A message sent to us contains whatever details you choose to include, which we use to respond to you.
Information Logged During a Visit
The hosting service records routine technical details such as an IP address, browser type, pages opened, and visit times. We review combined traffic data to maintain the site and learn which pages are used; cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics or, where applicable, ad measurement.
How Site Data Is Used
We use these limited details to run the pages, address technical issues, understand overall traffic, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
Privacy at Linked Services
Oklahoma county and state portals, library catalogs, archives, and search providers linked here operate under their own privacy terms. Those providers set how they handle information entered on their sites, including any sponsored search result service supplied by an outside company.
Who Processes Site Information
Our hosting and site-support providers handle routine server logs as part of their work. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical information described above, and we disclose information when valid legal process requires it.
Safeguards and Retention
Connections to the site are encrypted, and technical logs are retained only for the purposes described above. Because the site has no user accounts, it does not keep visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults, not children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you think a minor sent us information, contact us so we can look for and remove it from site-controlled records.
Requests About Information We Hold
Available privacy rights depend on the law and whether an organization is covered by it. Oklahoma enacted SB 546, to be codified at 75A O.S. §§300–320, but the act takes effect January 1, 2027. It applies only to controllers or processors that meet its business and data-volume thresholds, including processing data for at least 100,000 consumers or processing data for at least 25,000 consumers while deriving over half of gross revenue from data sales; this policy does not determine whether a particular site operator meets those tests. Oklahoma's targeted protections include the Address Confidentiality Program under 22 O.S. §60.14 and limits on protected voter addresses and list access under 26 O.S. §§4-115.2 and 7-103.2. The federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, 18 U.S.C. §§2721–2725, applies to personal information in motor-vehicle records. The Oklahoma Open Records Act, 51 O.S. §§24A.1–24A.31, governs access to existing public records, subject to exemptions; it does not let this site change a government record. Use the Contact page to ask about information held here. To correct or limit access to a source record, contact the Oklahoma custodian that maintains it.
Policy Changes
We will publish revisions here. Continued use of Oklahoma Residents Directory after a revision is posted indicates acceptance of the changed policy.
